John Boye supports Teshie widows, widowers with food items amid COVID-19 struggles

Black Stars defender John Boye has donated some items to widows and widowers at Teshie Mangoase in the Greater Accra Region.

The donation by Boye, who plays for Metz in France is aimed at supporting members of the community he grew up in as the country deals with the coronavirus pandemic.

The donation was done on behalf of Boye by his family, as the player is currently in France which is under strict lockdown protocols due to the pandemic.

The items include bags of rice, bottles of soda and water, cartons of eggs and tins of milk and milo

Sports Journalist, Eric Nana Yaw Kwafo posted pictures of the donations on Twitter.

Football across Europe, including in France has come to a halt following the pandemic with many countries resorting to lockdown to curb the spread of the disease.

In Ghana, a three-week lockdown was lifted last week with adverse effects on the lives of the people cited as one reason for the decision
