‘Ghana Won’t Be Put In Lockdown Now’ -Information Minister

The Information Minister, and Member of Parliament (MP) for Ofoase-Ayirebire Constituency in the Eastern Region, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has maintained that Ghana won’t succumb to pressures coming from the majority of Ghanaians to be in lockdown over the rising cases of coronavirus.

The Hon. minster said during the press briefing on Covid-19 on Tuesday, March 2020. He emphasized that the government is in consultation with various experts who tell him what to do and for now, their advice is that it’s not necessary to initiate any action of that sort.

Meanwhile, Ghana’s coronavirus case has risen to 52 with all indications pointing to a worst scenario in the coming days.
