Chairman Wontumi’s services are needed in Parliament to rein in wayward National Democratic Congress (NDC) MPs, according to Oteatuoso Kokobeng II.
His remarks follow some rowdy behavior by NDC MPs since the election of a Speaker of Parliament who is also a member of the party, as well as the closeness of the number of seats they have in the chamber despite being in the minority.
Nana Oteatuoso Kokobeng declared on Wontumi TV that there is an urgent need to get someone like Chairman Wontumi in Parliament to check the noisy NDC legislators, in response to the string of uncertainty caused by NDC MPs since the 2022 budget was announced.
“The way things are going, the NPP needs someone in Parliament like Wontumi to tame the NDC boys,” he remarked.
