‘We’ve Been Disrespected For Long Because We Are Mostly Perceived As illiterates’-Papa Kumasi

According to Kumawood Actor, Pap Kumasi says Kumasi-based actors and actresses have been disrespected for long because they are mostly perceived as illiterates.

According to him, there is always discrimination against Kumasi-based because they are seen as inferior compared to their colleagues in Accra.

He mentioned that Lilwin’s fight with Funny Face was a fight for all Kumasi-based actors and actresses but Lilwin did not carry his message well hence his “beef” with Funny Face.

To add salt to injury, he observed that Kumasi-based actors are made to use public transport (bus) when they are needed in Accra for movie roles while their colleagues in Accra are made to take flights when they are needed in a movie in Kumasi.

On Ghana movie awards, Papa Kumasi backed Kwaku Manu on the fact that the scheme will collapse because it awards undeserving people.
