UEFA Champions League Draw Declared Void – To Be Done Again After Errors

UEFA have confirmed that the draw for the round of 16 of the 2021/2022 Champions League will be redone after a technical challenge.

There were allegations of bias against Manchester United after their ball for the draw was unceremoniously omitted from the draw.

However, an official statement from UEFA confirms that this was a technical glitch.

An official statement from UEFA on Twitter read, “Following a technical problem with the software of an external service provider that instructs the officials as to which teams are eligible to play each other, a material error occurred in the draw for the UEFA Champions League Round of 16”.
