In the early hours of Wednesday morning, a poster started circulating on social media captioned, ‘Guantanamofo) wokromu PART 1 &2’. We all thought it was our Kumawood brothers and sisters who were at it again but Ace Kumawood actor, Akrobeto has sharply reacted to the circulating poster saying it was all the work of some individuals on social media trying to make fun of the situation.
He said, “We haven’t done anything like that, it’s a lie, we did not shoot any movie like that. Guantanamofo) wokromu, PART 1 &2? I was not a cast in any movie like that, Kyeiwa was not also part and all the people on that poster. It would have probably be done by some individuals on social media trying to make fun of the present situation, that’s the detainees using we the Kumawood actors.”
When the host, Amanda Jissih on Hitz Fm quizzed him about Kumawood people using some 2 or 3 days to get a full length movie done, he said, “When were they even in Ghana? We can’t take like 2 or 3 days to shoot a movie. We don’t do that. It was just someone who created that poster and placed our faces on it as the cast in the movie. There is no movie like that”. He concluded.
