The popular Nigerian social and political commentator, lawyer, human rights activist and former aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr Reno Omokri has said the glue that holds a marriage together is not love.
Omokri took to his official Instagram page to make this known, stating that, love is abstract, and that you demonstrate love by giving out something.
Omokri said love is like happiness, and one can only demonstrate by doing something, either by smiling or dancing, therefore, one needs to demonstrate love by giving something.
He said further that without money, it is hard to give or show love.
“And without money, it is hard to give or show love! When you buy your wife a new car, she will shout ‘oh my love’! When your wife cooks a banquet for your birthday, you scream, ‘i love you baby!” Omokri said.
He concluded, the truth is that money does most if not all the work involved in demonstrating love, therefore, to Omokri, love takes all the glory.
