National Communications Officer for NDC, Sammy Gyamfi says he is not surprised by what the International Monetary Fund (IMF) boss Madam Kristalina Georgieva had said with respect to the extreme hardship in the country.
According to Mr. Gyamfi, that comment which sounded good was only to attract investors so they can give us money to do our repayments
The IMF boss said, the extreme economic hardship is the country is as a result of the effects of covid- 19 and the Russia-Ukraine war currently underway.
Some however, expressed surprise at the IMF’s boss position and sounded like the mouth-piece of the government.
Mr Sammy Gyamfi said, her position is an upfront to common economic wisdom.
