I Will Use Col. I.K Acheampong’s Template To Govern Ghana – Kennedy Agyapong

Kennedy Agyapong

Kennedy Agyapong, a candidate for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer position, has said he will model Ghana’s government after Col. I.K. Acheampong.

Kennedy Agyapong

He claimed that Acheampong was the Ghanaian president whom he trusted and who shared his philosophical views.

“Col. I.K. Acheampong was the president whose philosophy I trusted and who I supported. Did you hear of any incidents when Ghana moved cars from left to right under his supervision? The only radio station in Ghana at the time was GBC, but he engaged the populace and they supported it. Acheampong brought feed yourself and walatu walasa.

Plantain and garden eggs were being planted by chief executives and directors. We began exporting rice to Burkina Faso and the Sahara during Acheampong’s administration. I don’t believe in theory; I believe in practicalism, he declared on Sun City Radio in Sunyani. as quoted by MyNewsGh.com.

Kennedy Agyapong said he had no favorites in the next election for National Party Officers because he can collaborate with anyone in the party.

I don’t have any favorites. I am willing to cooperate with the winner. When this is finished, it will aid in fostering party cohesion. I’ve come to understand that the party is divided when a candidate’s open support and endorsement are made. I choose to abstain this time.

I’m willing to collaborate with any NPP candidate who wins. I kindly want the support of the NPP executives so that I may be elected as the party’s flagbearer and so that the National Executives and all other executives will have positions of power.
