Mustapha Yussif, the Minister of Youth and Sports, has denied ordering the dismissal of Black Stars Head Coach Milovan Rajevac.
His remarks follow Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu’s assertion that the government has no business engaging in technical concerns pertaining to football administration.
In response to the Black Stars’ dismal performance, the Minister stated that one of the reasons for the team’s bad performance is the late arrival of certain players from their European bases.
However, he attributed the principal cause to the technical team’s and the Black Stars’ Management Committee’s incompetence.
“In light of this, the Sector Ministry has requested that the GFA review the technical team again.”
