The of Dean School of Performing Arts at the University of Ghana Professor Kofi Agyekum wants the alleged fraud that has characterized the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETfund) to be probed further.
According to him, the issue should not be treated with kid gloves expressing shock that such a quantum of money could be given to some individuals in the name of scholarships for further education some of whom have claimed they never received a dime.
Speaking on Accra-based Peace Fm monitored by Ghanawish.com the Senior Lecturer wondered how that could happen when journalists who attend programmes are made to sign for their ‘Soli’ but an amount running into several thousands of cedis could be spent without the real beneficiaries being traced.
