Some social media users are expressing shock after a Bible was the only item that remained ‘untouched’ after a fire outbreak which occurred at Asokwa Tunsuom in the Asante Region burnt down about 17 stores.
The fire reportedly occurred on January 6 and destroyed several properties and thousands of cedis.
Reports say that while all seventeen stores were completely burnt, the only thing which escaped the raging fire was a Bible.
Fire fighters from Bekwai and Fomena managed to extinguished the fire before it caused more extensive damages.
The Bekwai Municipal Fire Commander, DO2 Amos Abban, said no lives were lost, adding that investigations are ongoing to ascertain the cause of the fire.
Well a part of the Bible we talked about was slightly burnt but Christians are singing praises and saying it’s a miracle that it’s the only thing that ‘survived’.
