The Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has announced that government is set to appoint corona ambassadors.
According to him, these celebrity corona ambassadors will be in charge of educating the public since the media alone cannot handle such a task.
He made this known in a stakeholder consultation meeting between the Information Ministry, the Ghana Journalists Association and GIBA.
To him, these celebrities who have huge following will use their platforms to educate Ghanaians on measures to ensure they prevent the spread of the virus.
To him, it’s imperative for Journalists and media houses to check their facts before they publish stories.
