Pankese branch of the Church of Pentecost landed themselves in trouble as they organized a clean up exercise in the town without the notice of the chief and his elders.
As their punishment, they were fined Gh¢ 100.00 and 2 bottles of schnapps.
Unit committee chairman of the area, MR. ERIC BOAFO in an interview with Life Fm expressed disappointment in the traditional rulers for such a decision saying it is Just a gross display of power which was unnecessary looking at the quantum of filth and toilet that members of the Church cleared.
But reacting to the issue, Sanaahene of Pankese, NANA KWADWO OWUSU said the Church notified all appropriate authorities even including Unit committee members and so deliberately disregarding owners of the town was disrespectful hence the action.
