Information reaching Awake News is that the Deputy Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Jomoro Constituency of the Western Region has been arrested for allegedly defiling his daughter.
Confirming the incident in a telephone interview, Jomoro District Police Commander, DSP McCarthy Zenge said the suspect is currently in prison custody over the alleged sexual abuse of his 15-year-old daughter.
Though details are scanty, he said the suspect will be appearing before court on April 24, 2019.
