Controversial Ghanaian Television/Radio personality and Self-Acclaimed Queen of Comedy, Afia Schwarzenegger has heavily descended on Ghanaian pastors who have asked their church members to pay their tithes and offerings through electronic means in the wake of Coronavirus.
The government of Ghana as part of its initiative to reduce the spread of Covid-19 has banned all social gatherings including church activities, funerals, weddings, parties amongst other things.This process according to the Government will limit the number of people who come into contact with those infected.
Despite the fact that churches are going to be closed, some churches who still need the offerings and tithes of their members have given out mobile money numbers and bank accounts to their church members to via social media platforms to enable them pay their tithes and offerings.
Reacting to this, Afia Schwarzenegger who sees the move as ridiculous has verbally abused these churches using unprintable words. She quizzed why they couldn’t donate hand sanitizers among other things to public but are rather using dubious means to launder money from their church members.
