A video has gone viral of Nigerian footballers appearing to fix a match – and have no intention of hiding it.
While you’d ordinarily assume that players, were they involved in any kind of match-fixing scandal, would be keen to ensure that it went under the radar, that doesn’t appear to be the case in Nigeria.
The players involved in an alleged incident of match-fixing in the African nation were not overly concerned by the possibility of having the spotlight shone upon them and the subsequent consequences.
Instead, as they can be seen doing in the below video, a goalkeeper remained motionless as his opponent took a penalty during a shootout, and the player who went next, well, you have to see it to believe it…
