There has been a plethora of reactions following the decision by some people to contest Chairman Wontumi as Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The Obuasi East deputy NASARA Coordinator for the NPP, Kassim Sulemana has revealed that executives in the area have been given a stern warning by their wives to maintain Chairman Wontumi or face the dire consequence.
In an interview on Wontumi TV, the deputy NASARA coordinator stated that “our wives are warning us that if we don’t vote for Chairman Wontumi they will worry us.”
He made a strong case for Chairman Wontumi predicting that they are not expecting less than 80% for the incumbent Ashanti regional Chairman when polls close.
“If Chairman gets less than 80% in this impending election, then we have failed Chairman Wontumi”, he said.
