Government to construct guinea fowl factory in the Upper East Region

When Guinea Fowls are mentioned, Ghanaians memory awakens to the popular Mahama Guinea Fowls who flew leisurely to Burkina in 2015 under the controversial Savanna Accelerated Development Agency (SADA) initiative

However, the government is ready to create a factory; perhaps these guinea fowls won’t fly away again.

This was an announcement President Akufo-Addo has made to the people of the Upper East Region as he readies to create a Guinea Fowl processing factory at Bawku,

This is an initiative under the “One District, One Factory” policy, the government has communicated.

“In the same way under the ‘One District, One Factory policy, we are going to establish, very soon, a guinea fowl processing factory here in Bawku,” he said.
