A video circulating online shows the airplane alleged to belong to the Ethiopian Airlines being attended to by a group of airport workers as it remains stuck in the mud.
Reports say the airplane skidded off the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos while trying to take off and ran into a muddy area before getting stuck.
It is reported that no fatalities or injuries were recorded but authorities are said to be investigating the incident to unravel the cause.
