A woman has been found dead in a bush at Atwima Agogo in Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality in Ashanti Region.
The body of the woman believed to be in her 20’s was already decomposing.
According to a family member of the deceased, there have been many misunderstandings between the husband and the deceased which resulted in severe beatings of the now-deceased woman.
She said, due to the continuous assault, the family decided to file for divorce but because Jehovah’s Witness Church doesn’t accept divorce, they advised her to manage the situation.
The body of the deceased has been taken to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital by Police as the investigation continues.
The husband has been arrested.
The death comes after many recorded cases of killing of women by either their husbands or boyfriends in the country.
