Multiple award winning Ghanaian actress Lydia Forson has exposed the reason behind the reluctance of Ghanaians to criticise President Akuffo-Addo and his government unlike they did to John Mahama.
The popular actress expressed her thoughts in a post on her Twitter handle .
Lydia Forson revealed that Ghanaians were “vocal” under the Mahama-led NDC administration because he and his government were tolerant of criticisms.
However, that is not the case under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo and his government according to Lydia Forson.
Miss Forson said many Ghanaians prefer to be quiet on challenges the country is facing because the current administration is intolerant to criticism.
She wrote: “Truth is, so many of us were only vocal during Mahama’s government because he(they) seemed more tolerant to criticism.
“This government (and their followers) in comparison seem more intolerant to opposing opinions and criticism. This is unfortunately why many don’t say as much.”
