2020 BECE Schools Placement Out, more than 39,000 students Disqualified

A letter signed by the head of Public Relation Unit of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Cassandra Twum Ampofo, indicated that, out of the total number of 533,693 registered candidate who sat for last year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), 494,530 qualified to be placed.

The statement dated, February 26,2021, noted that, “343,264 students have automatically been placed in one of their choices, however, 151,266 qualified candidates could not be matched with any of their choices.”

They added that, all such students are therefore to do Self-placement to select from available schools.

GES further announces that the 2020 computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) into Senior High Schools (SHS) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training Schools (TVETS) will go live on Sunday February 28, 2021.
