Ghanaian US-based social media sensation, Twene Jonas has said that the mystery behind the Electoral Commission’s unfairness in recent times is borne out of the fact that appointments are done by leaders of political parties.
He said the people who serve as chair of the Electoral commission must not be appointed by the political leaders.
But once this continues where the leaders appoint their girlfriends or family members as EC chairperson, then, we shouldn’t expect a free and fair election.
The ‘Glass Nkoaaaaa’ man gave an example that the Electoral Commission must be made an independent organization devoid of Government interference where even the chairperson is voted for based on merit and not just mere appointment from the political leader of the day.
