Counsellor George Luterodt has made yet another controversial statement on marriage and how belonging to a tribe influences it.
In an interview on a radio station, Lutterodt said it is advisable for men not to marry from tribes that their families don’t approve of.
He said when one’s family doesn’t approve of marrying from some particular tribe, it is not advisable to force things because of love.
He emphasised that “anybody who marries because of love, the marriage will collapse”.
Lutterdot then went ahead to say that singer Joe Mettle’s marriage would last long because he married an Ewe girl. He noted that Ewe ladies are able to endure in difficult situations whiles Asante women don’t stay long in challenging marriages.
