Man Arrested for using coronavirus symptoms as excuse for overspeeding

Christopher Ospina, 20, of Haledon, NJ, was clocked doing 130 mph while heading west on I-80 Tuesday, according to state authorities.

Ospina pulled off the interstate in Lodi and stopped at a gas station.

But he later jumped back into his BMW and sped off when he spotted State Troopers coming for him, police said.

The speedster later turned himself in at the Totowa State Police Station, where he tried to tell troopers he had COVID-19 symptoms before being hauled off to jail, cops said. It was not clear if he was really sick.
