Report reaching our desk from some Nigeria media houses has it that, the Son of Former Nigerian Vice-President and Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party at the 2019 Nigerian general election Atiku Abubakar has tested positive for the deadly Coronavirus.
The disclosure was made by the Nigerian politician and businessman on his Facebook wall on Sunday night. He announced that his son has since been taken to the Nigerian Disease Control centre for treatment and management.
“My son has tested positive to the #coronavirus. Nigeria’s Centre for Disease Control has been duly informed, and he has been moved to Gwagwalada Specialist Teaching Hospital in Abuja for treatment and management. I will appreciate it if you have him in your prayers. Stay safe, coronavirus is real,” he wrote.
The Federal Ministry of Health on Saturday confirmed ten new cases of the coronavirus disease in Nigeria, three new cases in the Federal Capital Territory and seven new cases in Lagos State. This purged the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to twenty two.
