According to Female Dancehall artiste Barbara Naa Okailey Nyarko popularly known as OV has revealed she was named after a man of God by her parents.
”I was named after a man of God who is my godfather. His name is Prophet Paul Nii Okine so I was named Naa Okailey after him. I frequently visit so I wasn’t in town since December until last week. I lived with him for some months and I was actually born there so that’s my home.” OV said on 3FM. She also stated that she will transition from dancehall music to worship music later in her career.
Naa Okailey is the female name of Nii Okine, the musician, who was crowned MTN Hitmaker 2018 winner revealed.
OV is currently promoting her first single after her split from Stonebwoy’s Burniton Music Group titled, ‘Forward’.
