Ghanaian broadcaster and journalist Oheneyere Gifty Anti has commended the Ashanti people for over how they celebrate their king, the ruler of the Asante Kingdom – His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
In a Facebook post, the host of StandPoint program on Joy Prime was pleased with the Ashantis.
She said the Ashantis known for their patriotic and supportive nature know how to celebrate their king.
Gifty described as “beautiful” and also invoked divine favour upon Otumfuo, asking God to give the king long life.
She wrote:”Seriously, Asanteman knows how to celebrate it’s King…Whaaaaaat!!!! Just beautiful Long live the King”.
This comes after hundreds of some anxious indigenes of the Ashante region on Tuesday besieged the Kumasi airport to welcome their king who recently addressed the Assembly of the United Nations.
