Algeria is the new African Champions after winning the Afcon 2019’s final game with Senegal by a goal.
Baghdad Bounedjah’s heavily deflected strike on two minutes separates the sides at the break and gave Algeria the lead.
Senegal was nearly awarded a controversial penalty by the referee at the center of the game after Guedioura was penalised for hand ball as he looked to defend a cross from the right. However, a VAR decision overturned it.
Algeria has now won their first title since 1990 for Les Verts and only their second ever.
Senegal and Nigeria took the 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
